As the organization was involved in different areas of research, strategic management, and strategy implementation, they wanted to offshore some of their demanding research projects to an experienced research and analysis company. For some of their high-value projects, the client also required any external team to perform extensive data collection to speed up the research process, allowing the client to remain focused on their primary research and analysis part.
Requirements for the Data Collection Project
Research Optimus was approached with the task of pulling and aggregating 1300 research articles written in strategic management journals that reference popular press, specifically those provided in a detailed list. Our analysts were required to search for appropriate results in an extensive database, with the aim of adding a fully comprehensive list to an Excel sheet.

During our initial phone meeting with the client, we took the time to gain a thorough understanding of the project requirements to plan our data collection process and the number of resources it would take to complete.

- We were tasked with finding author names, titles, year published, publication volume, keywords, and some pages.
- All of the requested data was entered into an Excel sheet and passed on to the client for approval.
